On the sea

The sea offers unique experiences on the island of La Palma. Several local companies provide excursions to respectfully observe various species of cetaceans and other marine animals in their natural habitat. While on board, you can also explore La Palma’s coastline, featuring recent lava deltas, known as fajanas, formed after the 2021 eruption of the Tajogaite Volcano, as well as stunning cliffs and caves. Highlights include the Cueva Bonita—described by famed Canarian artist César Manrique as the "Sistine Chapel of the Atlantic"—and the Porís de Candelaria, a spectacular natural harbor within a massive cave that shelters a small fishing village. And there’s even more! Enjoy other maritime activities on our island, such as kayaking, sport fishing and more.
